The Level 4 Certificate in Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is aimed at experienced Teaching Assistants who are looking to progress and take on additional responsibilities such as leading a team of TA’s, taking and covering classes on their own and planning. HLTA’s play a key role in supporting teaching and the school as a whole.

This is a formal qualification regulated by OFQUAL and will demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to undertake the role of an HLTA. You will also need a line manager and expert witness to sign of evidence-based tasks and observations.
