The TQUK Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (DIT) is an Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme for practitioners teaching age 14+ learners in various settings across Further Education. It is comparable to the Certificate in Education (CertEd) or the Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and replaced the Diploma in Education and Training (DET). On completion, learners will hold a nationally recognised teaching qualification and can go on to achieve QTLS.
This is a structured 12-month course delivered alongside a teaching placement with a blend of self-paced study and live virtual coaching sessions. You will join a group of peers on the same course and enrolment date. This will be a shared learning journey with group interaction highly encouraged.
We have designed a high-quality training programme that will equip teachers and trainers with practical skills and knowledge so that they can confidently apply them to their teaching roles.
