A practical session introducing how SEND and wider inclusion needs present in post-16 and adult learners, with a focus on simple, high‑impact strategies that tutors can apply immediately.

Learning objectives

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• Identify how SEND and wider inclusion needs present in adult learners, including hidden or undisclosed needs
• Recognise the needs of key inclusion groups and how these impact engagement and progress
• Apply universal inclusive strategies that reduce barriers for all learners
• Use adaptive teaching approaches and practical tools to respond to learner needs in real time
• Plan and deliver learning and resources that are accessible, inclusive and aligned with Ofsted expectations
