Session Overview

Pedagogy is often described as “the science and art of teaching”. This session unpacks what pedagogy actually means and how conscious teaching choices shape apprentice learning, progress and independence.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

• Define pedagogy and explain its relevance to apprenticeship and workplace learning.

• Identify the pedagogical choices they already make in their teaching or coaching practice.

• Reflect on how intentional teaching approaches can improve apprentice engagement.
