Webinar: Asking the Right Questions

By the end of this session participants will be able to:

  • Distinguish between open, closed and probing questions.
  • Write and ask questions that clearly check a learner’s knowledge and skills.
  • Spot and avoid common pitfalls such as leading questions or asking too many at once.

How can questioning move beyond a tick-box exercise to unlocking what
a learner knows and can demonstrate.

This session looks at practical ways to make your questioning more purposeful,
varied and confidence-building for learners and you as an assessor.

We’ll explore different question types, share examples from contexts,
and look at small tweaks that make a big difference.
